Hello! I'm Lucy, a parent just like you. My vicar husband Al and I live in York, England, with our four kids aged 11-16.
I don't always find discipleship easy - yet I know it's one of our most important responsibilities as parents. Some of the resources we've tried with our own kids have been too long, too much like schoolwork, and haven't held our kids' interest.
I knew there must be a better way to help our kids engage with the bible, so now I write short, accessible devos that fit meaningful bible engagement into a timeframe that even the wiggliest kid can focus for.
All my experience as a parent, teacher and Christian parenting blogger for over a decade is poured into these resources. In listening to the struggles families face, and the resources they need, I've created this devotional to bridge that gap and help families disciple their kids in a way that fits with busy family life.

How do I access this resource?

How much time is this Devo going to take?
I reckon around 5 minutes a day (but more if your kid wants to connect with God for longer!).
My kid doesn't usually read the Bible - will they cope with this?
Absolutely! Each day's Bible reading is really short, and so is the commentary that comes with it. It doesn't assume a prior knowledge of the Bible.
Can I make multiple copies for my Sunday school?
In short - no. Sorry. Here's why: The price has been set deliberately low to ensure easy accessibility and affordability for regular families. If people start to print these resources in huge quantities then, as their creator, I lose out. Eventually, I won't be able to afford to make these resources anymore - and that won't benefit anyone. By all means photocopy as many as you need for the number of kids you have in your household - large families are very welcome to copy as many resources as they need!
However...if you'd like to make copies for people outside your home - e.g. for a kids group or a bunch of friends' kids, then please email me at lucy@lucyrycroft.com as I'd love to bless you with a good deal. I'll always try and work with you to come up with something fair :)
